Annie Strupeck

Hello!

Thank you for visiting my teacher page.  My name is Annie Strupeck, and I am a proud member of the ELL (English Language Learner) Department at Como Park Senior High School.  I am originally from the Chicago area, but have lived in St. Paul for almost 30 years.  I have been teaching with St. Paul Public Schools for 20+ years.  I am licensed in English Language Arts (ELA) and English as a Second Language (ESL).  This year, I am teaching 1 section of Level 2 ESL with a corresponding English Language Development class.  I am also co-teaching 2 sections of English Language Arts 9 with Ms. Kathy Romero, and 1 section of Math Foundations with Dr. Ly.

I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. in English and Secondary Education Licensure.  After teaching English in Japan for 15 months, I returned to St. Paul and started teaching ESL.  I completed my ESL licensure and M.A. ESL at Hamline University.  I have taught elementary, middle school, and adult students, but most of my teaching experience has been with high school immigrants and refugees.  I love working with students, learning about each individual, and helping them grow and achieve their goals.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two children (ages 10 and 12), traveling, camping, cooking, cycling, and being in nature.

I keep all of my assignment grades on Schoology.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me about anything related to student needs or English class.

My e-mail is anne.strupeck@spps.org.

I look forward to working with you this year!
