Mr. Sam DiVita

Hello and welcome to my teacher webpage! My name is Mr. DiVita and this is my second year teaching at Como Park Senior High. I'm excited to return to a great school and work with Como Park Senior High students and staff. 

I am an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher and have worked within Saint Paul Public Schools teaching English learners since 2005. I've taught ESL at all levels from Kindergarten through adult. My favorite level is high school grades 9-12! 

I am originally from Chicago, IL and have lived in the Twin Cities since 1999 with my family. I studied Communications at Eastern Illinois University and Italian Literature and Language at the University of Illinois at Chicago before moving to Minnesota. I received my Masters degree in English as a Second Language from Hamline University in St. Paul. 

In my spare time, I enjoy running, sailing, gardening, cooking, and sharing time in the outdoors with my family. 

Assignments and all grading is done in Schoology.
